From a very young age “Chef Sadie” had a passion for being in the kitchen. She recalls many stories where her grandmothers would reference her helping them cook, standing on a chair, not even tall enough to reach the counter. Born in Phoenix, Az and raised in Baton Rouge, La, Sadijah started her culinary journey at a young age learning traditional southern cuisine. Often times she would volunteer to make family dinner and bake for teachers and her class as gifts during holidays and special occasions. After graduating high school, she explored her interest in journalism and majored in Public Relations at Howard University. Her passion for food, travel, and entertaining didn’t stop there. She would often host holiday parties for students who weren’t able to travel home for the holidays, cater friends’ birthday parties and several small events. Even during that time, she kept working in the restaurant industry and continued collecting years of experience in culinary arts.
Combining her love for food and traveling, Sadijah recently moved back to the United Stated from Thailand where she went to explore the culinary traditions of Southeast Asian culture. Ultimately, she plans to travel the globe and critique food. To date, she has visited over 20 countries across 4 continents with several more lined up.
Sadie lives her passion on a daily basis and every meal she serves exemplifies her desire to create experiences that exceeds expectations and that are memorable.
