FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I want to know your “why” and no, “being healthier” is not gonna cut it. I want my client to let me in so I can best coach you. I want to know what works for you and what doesn’t. On a more technical note- there will always be some kind of consultation process with año of my services where I ask about nutrition, injuries, current support system, etc.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Since high school I’ve had jobs that involved coaching or leadership skills. Prior to working independently, I was the Nutrition Program Coordinator at Life Time. My background in biology and PTA has allowed me to comprehend the body in a way that a lot of people in my field didn’t get the chance to get educated on. With personal training, I can look at movement and understand what needs to be corrected for efficiency. In regards to nutrition, my understanding of not only physiological processes but also human behavior allows me to easily shift my clients mindset into dealing with goals with a healthier approach.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
When I was in clinicals as a physical therapy assistant, I noticed that most of the patients did not want to be there. They were either there because they were injured and because they HAD to be there. I had a moment where I realized I wanted to help people before they had gotten to the point of losing hope. That’s when I decided to be take a more preventative approach and use my knowledge to help people move better and eat better to keep their bodies and minds in a state they love and enjoy and can live their life to an optimal potential.
