I have over 15 years of experience managing multi-million dollar paid search (SEM) accounts (including Verizon Wireless - one of the biggest accounts in the world) and have helped numerous small to medium size businesses here in Atlanta and throughout the country in a moonlighting capacity. My typical fee structure is a one time set up fee and monthly management fee to be determined based on scope. As a guide, I'd suggest you consider an ads budget of at least $1,000/month. I do everything from developing a thorough strategy, complete keyword research/competitive research, to setting up all aspects of the campaigns, and actively manage them on an ongoing basis (data analysis, bid optimizations, copy testing etc.). My favorite thing about paid search is that it's the only "pull" type of advertising - where people are active hand raisers for whatever product/service you have. No need to push unwanted ads in their faces. That's why it works so well. I have a no BS approach. I don't lock you into a year long contract, etc. - if it works, you should keep doing it, and if not, cut bait.
