FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
When any service is considered, it is calculated at the average time to complete plus materials (at cost). We want to be fair in what we charge.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically, I like to communicate what I intend to do with a customer and help them understand the time, labor and cost involved. Without a frame of reference, a misunderstanding can arise. For example, how long it takes to paint a room. Some may have thought it to take 30-45 minutes to paint a room but in reality, it is more like 6-8 hours per room from start to finish including clean-up. In communicating these realities, customers can properly arrange the timeframe(s) around family responsibilities, celebrations and the work of other contractors.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I worked as a professional painter and was taught all of the skills necessary to succeed. I spent afternoons at the union hall working on my craft and under the watch of senior painters, their advice helped to sharpen my skills and become the painter that I am today.
