When I met attorney Bobby in 2016, I was in a big mess with my immigration process. My marriage of nearly 3yrs had crumbled with my i-130 and i-485 still pending for two and a half years. Immigration officers visited my house and told me that my case would be denied because I and my wife had divorced before my case could be decided. It was a very emotional and psychological trauma for me coupled with the very traumatic marriage experience I have had with my ex-wife. I decided to seek immigration help and I consulted with up to five different attorneys. Given the complications of my case, two of the attorneys consulted, suggested I should wait till my case was denied then I could appeal. The other three including Bobby suggested that the only option available to me was to apply for VAWA (I-360) if I could prove that I married my wife in good faith, that we shared life together, that she abused me during the marriage, that I am a person of moral behavior and that my divorce was link to the abuse. Given the kind of experience I had in my marriage, the attorneys believed that I had been abused in my marriage, but the main uphill battle would be to prove it especially when I did not have many police reports. The other two lawyers gave me legal fees quotes of thousands of dollars which I could not afford. When attorney Bobby gave me his quote which was a mere fraction of what others charged, I very curious because even though I didn’t have money, I found him to be very cheap compared to others. After listening to him, in fact, my confidence in him grew. And I hired him.
Meeting Bobby was the best thing that has happened to me in 2016. He took my case personal, with professionalism and commitment. Good thing about Bobby is his simple nature and accessibility. He would give me a call even within and outside business hours and weekends. I would be sure to receive his replies either through texts, emails or telephone calls even during outside business hours unless he was busy. He was thorough, very analytical, knowledgeable, intelligent and showed mastery of what immigration laws and cases. I provided most of what he requested, and he filed a VAWA case for me in September 2016. He requested the immigration to link my previously filed I-485 with the newly file VAWA so I wouldn’t have to pay for a new I-485. Three weeks later, we received a notice for Establishment of Prima Facie which was renewed every six months. My VAWA case was linked with my I-485 and all other applications I had. In November 2017 we received a notice containing a long detailing of things that needed explanation and other documentations I needed to provide before my VAWA could be decided. Again, Bobby was pleased because given the nature of my case and the request for evidence we received, it was evident that my abuse case was accepted. Now, I only needed to submit further documentations to show good faith marriage and shared life and to explain some other issues that lead up to the delay in processing of my previously filed I-130.
We submitted the requested evidence on January 31st, 2018 and on April 18, 2018 my VAWA case was approved. In the approval they stated that I would receive decision on adjustment of status separately. I chose this space to narrate my exciting experience with Bobby Hill. If he could win my case as complex as it was he could win any immigration case. He has the quality: approachable, patience, smart and intelligence, knowledgeable and command in immigration cases, and above all, he is affordable. He carefully, methodically and analytically compiled our case and wrote a suitable cover letter / petition to the Immigration authorities supported by documents. We achieved to have the Biometrics appointment expedited with very beneficial results.
