So awful. Our cellist at our wedding couldn’t hit a single note. He played everything off key and overshadowed our pianist. He honestly didn’t even seem like he was an adult, so I don’t blame him for it, but this agency for putting him in a position he wasn’t ready for. Louis didn’t give us his name or contact info and now I understand why, because if we had heard audio of him playing, we would never have hired him. Luckily we had a great wedding despite the cellist.

Louis Pettinelli Entertainment (Atlanta)'s reply
Thank you for your feedback Julia. At Louis Pettinelli Entertainment, we certainly value the feedback of clients, as it generally helps us to improve our operation at Louis Pettinelli Entertainment. In this case, however, I have to forthright in saying that this review is salacious at the very least, and slanderous at the very worst. Julia hired a cellist through Louis Pettinelli Entertainment to perform with a pianist that she had already contracted. She insisted on giving us the sheet music extremely last minute during what is probably the busiest wedding season in recent memory. We normally never accept music from clients, as it's often riddled with errors. However, she insisted to the point where I capitulated to her request. In the case of this particular music, there were numerous pieces that did not have a separate cello part affixed to them. This means that my cellist had to essentially read a piano score. This is absolutely not ideal- piano scores are meant to be read by pianists, not cellists. Numerous attempts to bring this to the attention of Julia were met with comments along the lines of "all of the music is there, leave me alone". I was barely even able to speak with her over the phone, which would have been most ideal. I don't blame Julia for being stressed. The nature of my line of work involves dealing with brides and grooms on a daily basis, and I can certainly know that planning a wedding can provide to be an exceptionally stressful experience. However, my musican was adequately prepared for the music, and even arrived an hour in advance to rehearse with the pianist. That brings me to my next point. Julia assumed that my cellist would agree to multiple rehearsals with the pianist before her wedding for no compensation at all. She then became irate with me when I explained that additional time, such as a rehearsal, requires additional compensation. Anything that is an additional time commitment for my musicians entails additional compensation. This is as simple and to the point as possible, and any professional in any other industry would agree with this sentiment. As to Julia's allegation that I didn't provide the name, contact info, or samples of my cellist, that is yet again another deviation from the truth. Julia had a contract with Louis Pettinelli Entertainment. She didn't have a contract with my cellist. While many of our musicians work for us almost every weekend, they are independent contractors. It was made clear to Julia that Louis Pettinelli or another authorized representative always acts as the liaison between our clients and performers. This is the protocol for every event at Louis Pettinelli Entertainment. She didn't like this policy, and kept insisting on speaking to the cellist. One of my roles as a booking agent is to speak with the clients, and let my performers focus on performing. If I wasn't speaking with the client and handling logistics, then I wouldn't be doing my job. All and all, I spoke with the performer with which my cellist was paired, and her experience of my cellist's talent and skill set differed widely from Julia's. To anyone reading this review, consider the notion that Julia's refusal to respect our business's policies resulted in her writing a punitive review that contains numerous exaggerations and embellishments in it. It unfortunately wouldn't be the first time that this punitive mindset has manifested itself in the form of a review. To anyone reading this review, I implore you to look at our reviews on our numerous Thumbtack profiles, as well as our reviews on other websites throughout the internet. You'll find that the vast majority of our reviews depict a completely different experience than what Julia is claiming to have transpired. Julia, we are sorry to hear that you were not satisfied with our services, and wish you all the best!

I can't say enough good things about my experience. I was looking for a last-minute act for our business function. Not only is their music brilliant, Louis Pettinelli was incredibly responsive and you can tailor the act to your needs. I went with the stand-up bass and keyboardist and it was absolutely exqisite. Will certainly hire again for future events. Eleven out of ten!!
