- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
for my company I always suggest just getting your chimney cleaned and then after a full inspection I can explain all things I see that need work and what could be wrong. then you can choose what you want to do from there.. no pressure but safety is always a good priority.. have fun with your fireplace ask about a new hearth or mantel you can always do more gas logs are an quick and easy change and surprisedly inexpensive... the more work you do the cheaper I can make it for you I always go down with more work.. ever duct cleaning and dryer vent cleaning getting more done saves me time and you money get it all done for $300-400$!!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
just start with basic clean if you have a problem you know needs to be addressed getting the basic service done first is always a good step then you can make the choice of what more needs to be done the more work you do the cheaper it gets ..I will always work with you on getting the job done so your happy with cost and quality
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I stared after high school building houses and chimneys was my strong point plus being on ladders and scaffolding always put me on the top then I became a mason doing a wide. variety of stone walls walkways mailboxes and chimney work .. chimneys are difficult because you must be a mason, carpenter,roofer,metal worker, electrician, and plumber
