FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to get a good understanding of why my clients have the goals they have, to figure out your "why". We will be teaching you how to move your body with and without resistance equipment like free weights and bands, but we will also be discussing why we are doing what we are doing aligns best with your goals.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Bachelor of Science, Exercise Science, (Virginia Commonwealth University) Certified Exercise Physiologist (American College of Sports Medicine) Certified Personal Trainer (American College of Sports Medicine) 5 Years in the United States Marine Corps (I will not take you to boot camp)
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I began studying exercise science with the intention of becoming a physical therapist. I gained so much wisdom and am incredibly grateful for my time learning under amazing physical therapists. However, I discovered that I am more interested in helping people reach their health and wellness goals as a trainer. In this way, I'm able to spend a dedicated hour with one person at a time, where we can execute and discuss movements as well as behaviors and habits outside of training that are linked to your goals.
