FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is competitive to the market. Payment schedule is based on the phases of the job. Some pool companies include an escalation clause in their contracts but my contract price is guaranteed after contract is signed, unless after contract signing, there are any changes or additions required by the building department review board, the engineer or any upgrades or changes desired by the homeowner.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I have to meet with the homeowner/client to find out what exactly needs to be done, if it's repairs, renovations or an entirely new pool construction. I am also able to give suggestions as to materials and equipment. I will take photos of the outside area which will help me, in the case of a new pool and deck construction, to do my 3-D computer design of the pool and deck. Based on final dimensions and area, I can the give the homeowner/client my bid for the job. Once I'm offered the job, my prime focus is not only on starting the process, but in maintaining open communications with the homeowner/client.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
For the business aspect, I'm a graduate of the University of Miami (class of 1998) and hold a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. As to the practical/professional aspect, I've been in the pool business since 1983 and a State of Florida Certified Pool Contractor (Commercial and Residential Pools) since 2004.
