FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our pricing consists of the following: The Attorney Fee, Credit Reporting and Court Filing Fee. These costs are bundled into one price. The only other expenses a Chapter 7 Client would face is the Credit Counseling courses. There are two of them, completed online.. The first one costs $24 and the second one, $14. These two fees are paid directly to the vendor we utilize. Chapter 13 Cases are somewhat different as the Debtor enters into a payment plan with the Trustee. Depending on the circumstances, in a Chapter 13 case, there are additional options available based on the goals and objectives of the clients.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After a brief phone consultation, if the prospective client wishes to move forward with the Bankruptcy process, an appointment is made to meet with Attorney Ed Walker at my office in West Palm Beach, there we go over the information you need to gather and return to me so that your Bankruptcy Petition can be prepared. The retainer agreement is signed and either payment is full in made or an initial payment (discussed during the initial phone call) towards the Retainer fee is made. The Client, will return the paperwork at some point in the future, I will review it and prepare the Bankruptcy Petition, we meet again to review it and have you sign it. The case is then filed. We attend the 341 Meeting of the Trustees together.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Look at Google, Facebook or Yelp! Reviews. During your initial inquiry who do you get to speak to? Are you pressured to come in and get a hard sales pitch? Cheapest is not always the best when it comes to most things, Bankruptcy Lawyers are no different!
