Introduction

When it is unfeasible to travel with your beloved pet, what are your options. It is often difficult to find someone responsible and trustworthy enough to take care of your pet. For the past several decades, I have been an animal lover. I am an experienced dog trainer and pet sitter. Since 1998, I have raised 5 puppies for the Guiding Eyes for the Blind. I also adore cats and am experienced in caring for them. I have Liability and Bond Insurance through Pet Sitters International. In addition, I am an American Kennel Club Evaluator for the Canine Good Citizen Test. For 4 1/2 years, I taught Puppy, Basic, Advanced and Canine Good Citizen classes at Petsmart in Latham, NY. I also taught Puppy classes at the Albany Obedience Club in Glenmont, NY. I look forward to caring for your pets.

I needed a sitter for Easter Sunday as I was traveling for the day. I was happy to have found Lyn‘s profile and immediately called her and hired her. Lyn took excellent care of my puppy while I was away. She’s reliable, patient, and professional. I felt very comfortable leaving my fur baby in her care. I highly recommend her.

Lyn took great care of our rabbit while we were out of town. She was punctual and did a meet and greet before we left, something our previous pet sitter never did. She kept in communication when we were gone and sent pictures letting us know everything was smooth. She even watered our plants. Lyn is the best and comes highly recommended.

Lyn took the time to listen to the challenges we have with our special needs rescue. He is off the streets, blind and terrified - not one-size fits all training candidate. Lyn came prepared with a long list of helpful items that need attention for a special needs dog outside of just straight training. She wasnt in a hurry, or checking off boxes - she was focused and pivoted as my challenging pup threw her some curve balls. I recommend this skilled resource.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
A Meet & Greet is scheduled to fill out Client information, Veterinary Release Form, & Emergency Pet Guardianship Information. Verifying the pet is up to date on required vaccinations. Verifying whether the pet is micro-chipped or has ID tags. Going over meal or medication requirements and schedule routine.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I taught Puppy, Basic, Advanced and Canine Good Citizen classes at Petsmart in Latham, NY for 4 1/2 years. I also taught Puppy & Canine Good Citizen classes at the Albany Obedience Club in Glenmont, NY for 15 years. I have Pet First Aid Certification.
