I had some siding damage from Hurricane Milton and to my surprise, there was Stucco under the siding that matched the first story of my house. I went onto Thumbtack and put the job out there for contractors to remove the snap and go siding and do some patchwork on the existing stucco. I had 4 replies, three of which came to my home, took the time to get on the roof, measure out the job, assess the damage, etc and do a proper quote ranging from $2800 to $3600. This company however, wouldn’t come out to inspect the job in person, asked me to send a few pics and came back with a quote of $9500 which is laughable. I think some people are just banking on the desperation of home owners to make repairs from hurricane damage so they don’t have to make insurance claims and deal with spikes in their policies, and it’s horrible business. So, that’s my review, those are my thoughts and my experience with this person. Buyer beware: always get multiple quotes when using this app.
UPDATE: I received a text on my personal cell phone, not through the app tho I have never given them my personal cell phone information, by the way “owner” of this business trying to pay me cash and send me gift cards to remove this review. Weird that both the contractor and the “owner” using the dollar sign at the end of the numbers and other details in their text is the same. He also says he’s working hard to get his sales team to do their jobs properly. I wish his reply to my review was this same sentiment instead of trying to say the problem was me.
