Hiring a professional is always taking a chance. You never know if the reviews that you see are real or planted by the individual or company. So, we take a chance and, with any degree of luck, we find a good one. Nick is one of the good ones. He is the consummate professional.
This man knows his pianos. Watching him work was like watching a surgeon performing a delicate surgical procedure. My piano is important to me for a reason that has nothing to do with the fact that it is a piano. It was given to my then fiancé and me 57 years ago as an engagement gift from my grandparents. This piano has followed my wife and me from New York to Virginia to New Jersey to Florida, across Florida to Los Angeles and then back to Central Florida. It is, of course, valuable to us as a musical instrument, but the circumstances under which we came to own it is what makes it worth so much to us. Nick treated this piano as he would treat his own piano.
Consider, if you will, that Nick has a dual role. First, he is a technician, repairing and adjusting what is a complex piece of engineering. That is one set of skills. Then, he is a tuner. This requires musicianship and a keen ear. All-in-all, a complex set of skills and abilities. In order to do an excellent job of taking care of a piano, a tuner/technician would absolutely have to have a love of the instrument that does way beyond simple skills. Nick is a loving parent, insisting that his "children" be treated with the same loving skill as a parent SHOULD feel for his/her children.
You cannot go wrong hiring Nick to take care of your piano. I am pretty certain that you could find a great technician and you could find a great tuner. With Nick, you have both. Nick guarantees his work. Finally, his prices are extremely fair, lower than I expected. I cannot recommend Nick highly enough.

I was very impressed with Nick. This guy knows his pianos. He was everything you would expect- punctual, professional, great positive attitude. Most importantly, he fixed my clavanova ‘s stuck key. I had just about given up and then I found Nick. If you need your piano worked on this is your guy. By the way he has perfect pitch which is rare and it sure comes in handy. Sort of a fun fact.

Nick came and fixed up a very old 1920s Players Piano. Tuned, replaced springs, a few hammers and strings. Piano sounds incredible now! Recommended!
