- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I work with you in the way you feel most comfortable- Flat Fee Per Room or Hourly Fee My hourly fee is based on service. Design Services are billed at $175.00/hr., which is low based on my 29 years of experience. Project Management is billed at $100.00/hr. Shopping with clients and Room Set-up is billed at $75.00/ hr. My flat fee is based on scope of work per room, but i also offer the following flat fee services: Initial Consult (our first meeting) $375.00 (up to 2 hours) Color Consultation- under 5 rooms $250.00 Color Consultation- 5 rooms or more $350.00 COMMERCIAL: My commercial rate is $12/ sq. ft. for design
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to get to know as much about my clients, their lifestyles, how they interact with their home, their kids, their dog... whatever will make their home livable! If the project is commercial, I take great pride in doing my homework on your local competitors, survey the area, get to know your customer base using demographics, analytics and working with your branding in mind. That first impression for your customers is a lasting one and our aesthetic has to be on point!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have my Bachelors of Fine Arts in Interior Design, but it's nothing compared to what you learn in the field working with clients, architects and contractors. I have a strong background of working on structural changes with contractors. They don't always love me, but that's to your benefit. I am anal about details and don't let slouches get away with anything! In my prior company, I worked hand in hand with a custom cabinetmaker, who taught me everything I needed to know about wood and how to design custom furnishings from the specifications to fruition, so i benefit my clients in this area. We do not have to outsource truly important tasks like custom furniture design and kitchen design. I DO IT ALL!
