I have been in practice since 2015 and specialize in Women's Health & Wellness, Pain Syndromes, Sports injuries & Rehabilitation, Trauma release, Facial Rejuvenation & Anti-Aging, Mental & Emotional Health, Weight management, Autoimmune Disease, Physiological/Neurological/Digestive Disorders, Preventative & Restorative Health and much more! I have strong western science, health & fitness backgrounds that I fully integrate into my eastern and holistic practice, merging the best of all worlds together to achieve optimal health & wellness for my patients! I currently practice in Sarasota, FL and am an extremely compassionate healer. Experiencing my own health challenges is what led me to this path and I am passionate about helping others feel better! According to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), any imbalance in the body is due to the improper or inadequate flow of "Qi" (Chi), which is the body's energetic life force Imbalances occur throughout our lives due to a multitude of reasons including stress, trauma, diet & lifestyle choices, and genetic factors. I am both a state and nationally licensed physician of Acupuncture & Traditional Chinese Medicine and Whole Health & Wellness coach. I employ various modalities of Chinese and Holistic medicine to stimulate and encourage a patient's healing process. Treatments can include a selection of modalities depending upon the patient's diagnostic needs. Individualized treatment plans & packages are also available for those seeking a specific goal, such as weight management, fitness training, anti-aging benefits, fertility support, trauma healing, stress relief, improved digestion, neurological conditions, nutritional & lifestyle counseling, pain relief, sports injury rehabilitation, and more!

Short: Great, friendly attitude. Very accommodating and great bedside manner. Flexible schedule. Will gladly recommend in a heartbeat. Long: After seeing a different fertility acupuncturist for the past six months in preparation for in-vitro fertilization, our regular lady had decided to schedule vacation right on our transfer date; so she wasn't going to be with us during our procedure which sucked because that's why we started seeing her in the first place. After a frantic few days of searching, my wife and I found Amy through Thumbtack and setup an initial consult visit. We were relieved to find out that Amy was available on our procedure date and we were also glad that she was very competent and had more technologically advanced treatments available compared to our other acupuncturist (she has these cool electrode stimulating devices hooked up to the points, and she placed more points in compared to our other acupuncturist). Then when our fertility dr moved our procedure up one day earlier we were even more relieved to find out that Amy was willing to accommodate us and re work her schedule. All in all I am glad things turned out the way they did otherwise we may have never had the opportunity to meet Amy and had the wonderful experience that we did. Thank you Amy.

I have seen no less than 20 different acupuncturists in my day, and Amy truly stands out as a master of her trade. I value a thorough examination and explanation of treatment, and she did not disappoint. Her technique was relatively painless, and the results were immediate. I like her knowledgeable yet warm & down to earth demeanor as well; I prefer to skip over the top new age practitioners. Finally, as a mom herself, she could easily relate to me and the issues that brought me to her table. I will be returning!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We will first review your thorough medical history as well as current chief complaints and concerns that brought you in to see me. We will devote time to addressing any questions and concerns you may have, and then you will receive your first treatment! Based on your presentation and diagnosis, we will then develop a treatment plan and protocol specifically designed for the individual patient.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor of Science degree, and a dual Master's in Education and Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture. I am a former collegiate athlete and educator with an extensive background in mental health & wellness, fitness, nutrition and lifestyle medicine. I am a lifelong learner and extremely passionate about this medicine and helping my patients. I do extensive continuing education to provide optimal care to my patients.
