Excellent!! Fast response with estimate and got to us for the repair before our scheduled date. Had a leak in my pond and they completely replaced the liner and reworked the waterfall. It looks better than ever!! I have received a lot of compliments on it will be sure to refer anyone to Claude Memoli for their pond or pool work.

First off I would like to say that Claude is a nice fellow that desired to do a good job. He advised that the waterfall grotto and rock work would take 2 weeks. I signed a contract for $12000 to do the job. The verbal promises were many and we are happy with all the rock work with the exception of the grotto feature. Before the contract was signed I asked if he had any felons on his crew and did all his crew speak english. He said no felons and they all speak english. Oscar who is his main rock worker does not speak english. It was impossible to communicate with him. He made some critical errors in the grotto for which we are very displeased. Claude and I have differing opinions: 1) We caught Claude wheel barreling 4 loads of boulders into his truck. When I confronted him he said that he needed the rock for another job as the rock supplier had no more of that particular boulder style. I was upset, but after he asked politely if he could have the rocks for another job, I agreed to allow Claude to keep the 4 loads. The next day he opted to tell me that they were not really my rocks. Took 24 hours to come up with a story of how he did so much "no cost work", that the rocks were really his and not mine. Funny how the day prior he asked if I would allow him to keep the rocks he took inferring that they were mine! 2) They cut my landscape lighting cables and were unable to satisfactorily repair. I called NiteLites and paid $240 for them to repair the subpar attempt at repair by Claude's crew. There were bare wires, incorrect wire nuts and 2 lights that were not even hooked back up. Took the crew 2.5 hours to repair that mess and they showed me all the areas that were poorly repaired causing my transformer to overheat. 3) Oscar (the fellow who speaks no English), made a critical mistake in the spillway and cut a beautiful piece of stone that would have masked gobs of mortar on interior of the spa. This is an area that we see anytime you are in or close to the spa. Claude was unable to communicate with Oscar as to WHY he made that cut which exposed the mortar leaving an unfinished appearance. 4) Grout/Mortar in grotto was completed with 2 different color browns that do not match at all, leaving a poor finished product. Claude agreed and offered to chip it out and repair at a later date. 5) Claude was involved in an altercation with a lazy employee in my yard and fired him on the spot. He had a bad attitude and speckled my property with cigarette butts. 6) All in all Claude seemed to have selective memory about promised lighting and used that against me as though he was doing me a favor when is lighting design wasn't up to standard. 7) Do not expect early risers as they did start any day prior to 10AM and mostly arrived around noon. They took a 3 day weekend when a rain shower was over Pine Island when there was ZERO rain in Ft Myers. Just terrible to place those stresses on a home owner. Final impression: Claude is a nice fellow. They did assist in laying sod that I purchased as my yard was a mess. He does desire to do a good job. They just did not do a good job in the grotto and did not FINISH STRONG. I had to be on his butt (as is my right as I paid the bill). When he was not on site, I was looking over the crew as there was not a foreman or supervisor appointed. I would recommend that they stick to rock formations and not do any more grottos of this design. If you get up close you will be very disappointed and I will try to find a company to re-design that area. Not sure how at this point, but I cannot stand poor quality work and I will have to make that right somehow. I gave 3 stars which is very fair. It may cost me a few thousand to get that grotto right!

Hi Tony I am truly blessed. My love for people expresses it's self in reflections of my creations. Beauty is all around us, all we have to do is be aware of it for it to reveal itself to us. The world is not perfect and I am far from perfect, but the grotto I created for you was my best attempt for perfection. I pray that my creativity will grow from each and every project I am blessed to obtain, and that you will see the beauty before you in the grotto that I created for you for many many years to come. God bless and please do not hesitate to call me to address any issues you may have in the future.

This company was priced lowest so I didn't expect perfect but there were a few things I asked for and it didn't happen. I had some tree trimming and curbing put in. All and all I am satisfied with the outcome. The yard looks great and that is what I was hoping to accomplish. If you have specifics make sure you talk to them about it every time you speak. I wasn't at home when they did the work so a few things were done differently then we had originally talked about. Nothing major. Nice people which is a plus.

Had a small pond and landscaping done by the company several months ago and couldn't be more pleased with their service, price and follow up. Had several questions come up after the fact, and they always reply immediately and resolve and questions/issues in a timely manner. Our pond is beautiful and we are so happy!

FAQs

  • Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

The photo above is a Grotto over the spa. We were scheduled to start on the 31st of August and finished on the 18th of September. We did start a day late due to rain and also took Labor day off, and if you are in the Lee County area you would know that it rained just about every day in September. All in all It turn out Beautiful.
