Introduction

Hi, my name is Anastasia. I have been dancing since I was a child and have been teaching for over 15 years. I specialize in Latin and Ballroom, First wedding dances, choreography, Tango, Salsa, styling. If you have any questions about a certain dance I’ll be happy to answer them! I offer group classes and am available for charity events. A little bit about myself. I am a mom to two boys and a wife. I am originally from Russia. I believe in good energy and healing through a positive mindset. I work as a Real Estate Advisor as well as teaching dance. I love nature and animals. Love to travel and learn about different cultures. Dancing has been my happy place since I was a child. But when I started teaching I was WOWed. Witnessing all the different ways dancing can improve someone’s life got me to fall in love with teaching just as much. Here are some of the benefits: great cardio, positive affects on confidence, mind-body connection, new challenge, poise and grace, social benefits, enhanced mood, feeling of accomplishment, helps couples connect and rekindle romance, means of expression, getting more joy out of life (like dancing on cruises and at parties). There’s been multiple studies on how dance helps fight Alzheimer’s. This is not a one-fit-all program. I care to hear why you are choosing to take up dancing at this time and what you are hoping to accomplish in the process. In my class there’s no room for judgement or exclusion. Whether this is the first dance lesson you have ever taken or if you have previous dance training, I’d love to help you reach your goals and get through challenges. It’s a safe place. If you don’t have a partner, I’ll be your partner during our lessons. I know how scary it is to start a new adventure and I appreciate the trust you put in me to be your guide on this journey. My fiance and I had our first lesson with Anastasia on monday with our second being on Thursday. She made us comfortable while learning. She showed us how the steps went did the steps with each of us and we did the steps together. This is a great way for me to learn. We can not wait for our second lesson and more to follow to make our first dance as husband and wife perfect for us!

Fun and enjoyable! The instructor was very attentive and took time to make sure my husband and I were comfortable. We have no previous dance experience but were able to follow through as beginners. Will definitely return for more lessons.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Lessons are a $100 each. 10% military discount and 10% first responders discount. I offer packages to save you a bit. If you have any questions please reach out.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Truly depends on a situation. I like to tailor the experience to each person. In general we are going to try out some basic steps, see which dances resonate with you better while I observe how you learn so I can teach you in a way that’s easiest for you. If it’s a first dance for the wedding we’ll try out some basic steps and figure what would work better for you, a choreographed routine or a lead and follow. One thing you can expect is that I’ll be talking to you the whole lesson. Yes, while you are dancing as well. Our goal is to get these steps into your muscle memory so you are not “in your head” while dancing. Dancing is just as much about connecting to your partner as it is about steps and musicality 😊
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Working for one of the biggest franchises I had to get certified every 6 months. So in 10 years I’ve achieved over 20 dance related certifications. We were also required to attend numerous conferences and training sessions on how to teach step patterns and dance techniques in the most effective bite size manner. The goal is to have fun while learning! Our focus will always be WHY you are dancing. So if some lessons “you’ve had a bad day and you just want to dance” we can save a new step pattern or technique segment for our next lesson and do what you feel will benefit you the most at the moment. Learning is important of course, but mental benefits of dance are just as important to me.
