FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
When it comes to pricing, I keep it simple and flexible. I don't require contracts or a minimum number of classes per month, so you’re free to take lessons as your schedule allows. My rates are competitive, and I offer a great value given the personalized attention you’ll receive. If you’d like more details, feel free to reach out and we can discuss what works best for you.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When I work with a new student, I like to first find out if they've studied Spanish before. If you're new to Spanish, that's great! It gives me the chance to build a strong foundation from the start. For students who’ve already learned some Spanish, I take time to chat with you and figure out where to begin so we can move forward at the right pace. For beginners, I often recommend using a workbook for extra practice in addition to the materials I provide on Google Docs. For more advanced students, we focus on practicing directly in class, and I offer additional practice on Google Docs if you’d like. My goal is to make sure your lessons are tailored to your level and that you feel confident in your progress.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a strong educational background that supports my work as a Spanish teacher. I hold a degree in Education with a focus on French and English from the University Mayor de Cundinamarca in Bogotá, Colombia. Additionally, I earned a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Psychology and a minor in French from the University of North Carolina in Charlotte. Beyond my education, my personal experience learning English has been invaluable. I know firsthand what it’s like to learn a new language—the challenges, the breakthroughs, and the persistence it takes. This helps me connect with my students and guide them through the process with patience and understanding.
