I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the services provided by Vincent Miller on 05/10/2024 for the asphalt and seal coating job on my driveway. Our initial agreement, discussed over the phone, outlined the addition of asphalt and seal coating, including the repair of two holes, for a total cost of $920, with each hole repair priced at $350.
Vincent commenced the work on May 10th without a prior in-person meeting, assuring me that communication would be conducted over the phone due to my work commitments. A deposit of half the total amount was requested upfront, with the remaining balance to be paid upon completion.
The job started at 12:13 and finished by 1:17 pm on the same day, with Vincent claiming it to be one of the most challenging tasks he had encountered. However, upon receiving pictures of the completed work, I noticed an unusual color patch and an overall unsmooth and incomplete appearance. When I raised my concerns with Vincent, he dismissed them, stating that I had not paid for a full driveway service and didn't like how he was questioned based on his experiences and work history.
Despite my attempts to seek clarification and resolution, Vincent's responses were unprofessional and dismissive. He suggested that I hire another company to rectify the issues, offering two years of free seal coating as compensation. This offer failed to address the incomplete work and lack of professionalism displayed.
After several attempts to address the issue, I felt like I was being scammed by Vincent. He only communicated through a text message, stating that he now charges $200 per coat and $520 for material and labor to patch with asphalt. He insisted that no commercial sealers or asphalt could rectify the cracks and holes on my driveway, and I would need to pay someone else to fix the issues such as pay for a full driveway.
Furthermore, Vincent failed to collect his equipment, did not respond to my messages, and denied my request for a partial refund. As of today, the patches remain wet and crumbling, rendering the driveway unusable and necessitating additional expenses to rectify the substandard work.
I am deeply disappointed by the lack of professionalism and accountability displayed by Vincent Miller and his company (Carefree Painting and Sealcoating). The incomplete and unsatisfactory work has not only inconvenienced me but also resulted in financial repercussions. I demanded a refund for the inadequate service provided and urge prompt action to address this matter about his services. No other person should have to experience this unethical work and communication.
I know everyone should be aware of how he treated a customer. l'm going to do right by the customers. I've attached photos of the before and after.
