FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
A Federal Form 1040 is typically $150. A Federal form 1040 with 1 Schedule C, E or EIC is typically $200. For small businesses, I also have monthly bookkeeping packages, including software and tax returns starting at $50 per month. Feel free to give me a call to chat. Once I have an idea of exactly what you are looking for, I will provide a quote. Also, I provide up front, flat fees as opposed to hourly rates so you know exactly what to expect. My clients can always contact me as questions arise and always at no additional charge.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Initial consultations are always free and are typically either over the phone or in person depending on what makes the customer feel most comfortable. Most of the work is done remotely. I have local clients that I see weekly and some that I have never met. I also have many clients in other states. All fees are quoted in advance and I send electronic invoices that can be paid with one click via PayPal or credit card. I also accept checks if the client prefers. I am always available to my clients as questions arise and always at no additional charge.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BS in Accounting from Arkansas State University and received my CPA license in 2001. I have more than 15 years of experience in audit and other attest functions, tax preparation, payroll, bookkeeping, business formation and consulting with a significant emphasis in nonprofit and small business accounting, specifically independent contractors. I have traveled the country teaching accounting via live seminars and private consulting engagements and have represented my firms in both state and national conventions. I have also obtained more than 100 hours of continuing education annually since 1995. I am licensed in both Florida and Arkansas and am a member of the AICPA, FICPA and the Elks B.P.O.E 498.
