Our original thought process for the project was to just replace broken sections of concrete driveway and a portion of patio with pavers. Rafael came to project site, our initial conversations went real good and we felt comfortable working with him so we asked for quote for portion of driveway, patio and Sidewalk, he was able to provide quote within a day.
We requested to add the entire driveway instead of just the portion of it, Rafael understood the need and provided us the updated quote/pricing, everything looked good and we agreed to proceed with the contract.
Project had a delayed start than anticipated one week because of our personal work and couple weeks because of the pavers availability which is totally understandable and completely acceptable.
Rafael came with his team as soon as he got confirmation from manufacturer that the pavers were available and started the project, did demolition work within a day and started levelling and laying the pavers from day 2. His team worked really hard, from 7:30AM to 5:30PM throughout the period of the project. (I can only imagine when they actually start and end their day)
Because of the delay, from the period we agreed on the project to when it actually started there were few items which were not clearly documented initially and for that reason we had to go back and forth but at the end of the day it all worked out.
Only thing I would have done differently is to clearly call out and document all the individual details so as to avoid any confusions. And being paver experts they could have suggested irrigation sleeve when they removed the existing irrigation pipes, which would have helped us for future improvements. A solid 4+.
Overall kudos to his team and we are happy with our Pavers installation, trim, sealant, cuts everything turned out nice and you can see the end results in the attached before and after pictures. We will definitely work with Rafael and his team again for future projects and for sure recommend his company to friends and family.
