LEARNING THE VIOLIN:
~No musician would be where they are without having had a teacher to guide them in the process. The ability to play an instrument is a wonderful gift to have. Nothing will ever inspire, frustrate or excite you more! As a professional violinist, I think that it is very important to be able to pass down my knowledge of the violin and profession to other aspiring violinists. Whether you are looking to go into music or just want to learn and have fun with the violin, I would love to guide you through the intricate process of learning to play the violin!
TEACHING PHILOSOPHY:
~My teaching philosophy is that no matter what your reasons are or what your goal is for playing the violin, you should always have fun. Violin is meant to challenge you, but that doesn’t mean that you have to forget to have fun making music! Having the ability to create a beautiful sound on an instrument with four strings and a bow is a wonderful privilege to have and can take you very far if you have the patience to listen to your teacher and know that having a skill takes time. As you teacher I will always listen to what you want to work on and will always be encouraging! My main method of teaching is Suzuki, but I always supplement with other songs and materials, depending on the age of the student and what I want the student to focus on that week.
