FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
As I am only looking to train clients who are committed to their training and development on a consistent level, my pricing is based on such accordingly to allow me to put more focus into each individual client rather than diluting training to serve more people. I have a single session and discounted prepaid monthly pricing plan in place. See pricing plans in Introduction section. *$100 per individual training session (1 or 2 people) $150 for group sessions (3 or more), paid that day. We schedule your sessions on an as we go basis. *$850 for 10 prepaid sessions (up to 2 people), ($150 discount). $1300 for 10 prepaid group sessions ($200 discount). We schedule your choice days and times for sessions in advance and lock in the slots you've already paid for. Training sessions will generally run approximately 1 hour long. It may be less if I see you're becoming overly fatigued or unable to safely continue. We may also go longer if we may need more time for you to make a breakthrough or get a new skill down pat. My rates are per session, not per hour. Schedule permitting, I don't want time to be an inhibitor of your advancement or safety. Payments can be made by cash, or Zelle electronic payment. NOTICE: For clients purchasing prepaid sessions, this agreement will be void and nonrefundable if there is greater than a 6 month lapse between prepaid sessions. There are exceptions, such as verifiable medical issues or if you have a change of work schedule/location which we are unable to work around. My availability is very flexible and I will try my best to accommodate you. If one of these exceptions apply, then 50% of the remaining prepaid balance will be refunded to you. If you are unable to attend a session we have scheduled, please provide at least 2 hours notice. I may be driving from anywhere in or out of the city. If less than 2 hours notice is given, or you no call/no show, the session will still be counted/charged. If you are paying individual sessions and no call/no show or provide less than 2 hours cancelation notice, you will need to pay for both sessions (current and the one missed) at the beginning of our following session. If you will prepay for partner or group sessions, please confirm that everyone can attend before we schedule. Once these are agreed upon and have been committed to, they will not be discounted if everyone can't attend. We can reschedule with at least two hours notice however.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
No matter the experience level of my clients, day one is all about movement. I want to get a feel for your own movement, coordination, dexterity, etc. After I get a basic idea of your movement habits, I start teaching basic movement skills as it applies to fighting: How to step in all directions and turn like a fighter, while maintaining balance and staying prepared to attack or defend. The first class will usually not involve any striking for clients with very little to no experience. Sometimes we do anyway. I'm always open to adapt and digress from the planned training strategy if I see something we can capitalize on learning at the moment. After our first session, we will do a combination of warmup, training, conditioning and stretching.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm always training and studying my craft. The fact that I'm a semi-active fighter demands that I continue to improve. I in turn, can share the knowledge gained in the process with others.
