FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For contested litigation matters the firm bill at a competitive hourly rate, because we never know how long a contested matter will take to complete. For uncontested divorce proceedings, the firm bills at a flat fee, because we know how long the work will take. We have lower overhead costs than bigger law firms and pass the savings on to you.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We like to make sure that new clients feel comfortable and have an opportunity to ask questions and learn about the process. The law is complicated and can be tricky. We typically answer initial questions in a telephone call and then schedule an in-person meeting to discuss things in a bit more detail. We have an "open door" policy so clients can always call or email with questions or concerns.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I earned my undergraduate degree from the University of Central Florida in 1995. I majored in Political Science and minored in Business Administration. I earned my law degree, with honors, from The University of Florida College of Law in 1999, where I also served as an editor on The Florida Law Review.
