FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our fees are calculated based on the time, effort and experience that we bring to each case. We follow the industry standard and charge our clients a flat-fee. The fees vary from case to case based on what we anticipate we will do for the client and as such, there's no "one-price-fits-all" quote for a case. We want to be fair in our pricing and base our fees on what we think it will take to get our client's case resolved. We offer a free, confidential consultation for this very reason - so we can best assess what we'll need to do for our client and what that will take.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We work with new clients in a variety of ways, depending on what's best for the client. While we prefer to have a face-to-face meeting in the beginning of the case, we recognize that time and convenience may mean that we handle our initial conference over the phone. We make ourselves available for telephonic conferences seven days a week and do all we can to make hiring our firm simple and convenient. We can even handle all the paperwork electronically if that's better for the client.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attended the University of Miami School of Law, where I was a member of the Honor Council, adjudicating allegations of ethics violations among the law students. I also had the opportunity to argue a criminal appeal case in the 3rd District Court of Appeal as a Certified Legal Intern for the Attorney General's Office. From there, I worked for the Orange / Osceola State Attorney's Office as a prosecutor from 1998 through 2001. While at the State, I prosecuted DUI's, misdemeanor offenses, juvenile offenses and felony offenses. I received numerous commendations and promotions while there, based on my exceptional work quality. In May, 2001, I co-founded my law firm and since that time, I have represented countless clients in criminal cases throughout Florida. I have personally handled cases in ten-plus counties as well as in Federal Court here in the Middle District of Florida. I have successfully defended clients at the Pre Trial and Trial level in a variety of criminal matters.
