My name is Yuliya and I am a certified French teacher with over a decade of experience working with children and adults. I have a Bachelor of Arts in French and a specialization in Education from the University of Caen, Normandy, France.
I have practiced in public and private schools, and have also given private lessons during my whole career.
I adore sharing my deep love and knowledge of the French language and culture with my students. I am flexible and adaptive to everyone's individual needs and personal way of learning. I like the teaching to be creative, full of improvisations, and great examples while also following an established plan.
Sessions depend on the needs of the individual or group, however, they may contain reading, writing, vocabulary, grammar, spoken, and listening work. I also like to include fun activities that make the learning process enjoyable and reinforce learnings through play.

Having myself some experience as a teacher, but in another field, obviously, I have always believed that the distinctive characteristic of the great teacher is the care he takes for his students. The great tutor cares about his students’ specific needs realizing that everyone learns in a different way. I really enjoyed learning French with Yuliya because she is not only teaching you the language, but also cares about you as a person and tailors her sessions to suit your individual learning requirements. She gives an extra effort to understand your situation aiming to establish the best teaching strategy for you. I enormously appreciated the fact that she was thoughtful and attentive to my needs even when I wasn’t able to formulated them myself.
Yuliya is a professional and experienced tutor, very patient and dedicated to her work. She is a very pleasant person to work with, amiable and respectful. I was truly happy, and at some point amazed, when I found out that she approaches every lesson as an opportunity to learn as much as her student which made the process of learning fun and engaging. She is skilled at providing easy to understand explanations and is always open to questions with a focus on avoid any misunderstandings and clear the difficult points until they become coherent.
She always encouraged me to give my best even when I have had doubts in my capabilities. I started learning French at basic level which is, beyond doubt, difficult when you are not so young. So I was honestly skeptical about my chances of success. Fortunately, I found the right tutor who believed in me and showed me the beauty of knowledge in a different way. For this journey I needed more of a good tutor. I needed a friend who cares, a professional with whom I can explore the magnificence of a whole and vast universe such as a new language. I found this great teacher in the person of Yuliya. Thanks to her, now I dare dream to go to Paris.

Learning from Yuliya is like learning from a friend. She knows how to make our sessions fun, yet she is still very goal oriented. Being an adult myself who is trying to learn a new language, I appreciate her flexibility, adaptiveness and creativity in the process. Our brains can get tired of the daily routine and it's wonderful to have a hobby through which we use them differently.

When I decided to add French to my portfolio of skills, I already worked with Yuliya on the same team. I knew she was a qualified French teacher and knowing she has great interpersonal qualities, the choice was easy for me - I asked her to be my tutor. Yuliya has the needed approach and I am grateful I worked with her building and extending my French knowledge. She gives understandable examples, explains in a manner that is easy to comprehend. The fact that she is bilingual, speaking both French and English, adds up as well. You won’t have any problems progressing with your French because Yuliya will have that proper approach for each person. She takes examples from everyday life, making it easy for the student to cover and understand the material. I will choose her again whenever I decide to improve or extend my French language skills. Yuliya is someone I would wholeheartedly recommend if you are looking for a next-level French teacher.
