Unfortunately, we had a poor experience with The Wallpaper Pross. Although, they were extremely courteous and responsive during the scheduling and quoting process, they didn’t follow through with service. They sent someone who was not able to install the type of wallpaper we had and said they would reach out to reschedule the appointment. They never did nor replied to our multiple reach outs.

I usually don’t bother giving reviews or bad ones for the matter (considering I am a business owner) however due to my experience I Must. this guy was pretty pleasant over the phone when I reached out to him in regards to completing a wallpaper install for a client. Now I am a traveling designer which means I am not from the area just here for business so I use thumbtack pretty often in search of laborers. For starters Robert was pretty rude from the moment we formally met at my clients home. I came in spoke to him and another contractor on site and Robert just looked and waved(first red flag) okay proceeded to deal with other contractor once I engaged with Robert he says to me he was charging me $40 a roll for basic wallpaper material when he clearly stated in his profile he installed grass cloth (which is way more high end than the plain, thin textured wallpaper I had) for $30 a roll (2nd red flag) when I asked why $40 he proceeded to make up some nonsense about removing 3 blinds and having to go back and get another latter for literally a foot difference In ceiling height (total joke by the way) so we negotiated to $35 a roll. Following he then proceeded to ask “well who’s paying me!?” In a rude and obnoxious manner and I said “ well I’ll be paying you, it’s ok this is business you and I are handling and he says “well look I don’t know you, we only talked on the phone so I’m just asking” (in a rude condescending tone) ...(3rd red flag). Now Robert got the job done however he was really long winded (to be expected because he’s an older fella and on the heavy side) however the first 3-4 stripes he installed I could see the seams which I shouldn’t have because it was a random pattern and wasn’t grass cloth 🙃 however because I hadn’t noticed until 2 quarters of the way thru I didn’t bother addressing bc we were also one double roll short from the beginning. Once he finished he told me “oh I forgot my invoice at home, but I’ll be able to send when I get there. He showed me calculations that reflected $420 for 6 double rolls which was completed baffling for a Diningroom and considering I understood it to be $35 for each dbl roll not each single roll (that wasn’t made clear) and when I conveyed that to him he got completely hostile and started raising his tone saying “ well honey now is not the time to discuss money!” Which was so uncalled for when all I wanted was clarity I spend clients money not my own so there for it was never an issue where I said he wouldn’t get paid however I still wanted clarity on his rate because I still have to make sense and manage my clients budget and when I told him I just didn’t understand he totally dismissed me and repeated this ain’t the time too bad you didn’t understand. I mean the story goes on however too much to type even the other two workers told me he was risen to them as well smh, however I would never recommend him to anyone else he’s in bad shape (physically) and he pretty much is just mad at the world because I have no other clue as to why he would be so nasty. Quality of work wasn’t great and especially for the price.
