Not only did we select Opus One for the full remodel of the home we are about to buy, RJ and Russel stepped in to assist us with updating our CURRENT home to get it ready to sell. “The Industry Leader”. A bold statement for which Opus One Design Build deserves every letter. After a home accident my family and I were displaced in a hotel until repairs were completed. I posted a job request on Thumbtack and was contacted by 4 different contractors. RJ from Opus One Design Build was not only the first individual to contact me, he made contact within 15 minutes after my posting. Other contractors made contact hours or even a day later. Not only did RJ beat the pack in communication response, he was also the only one demonstrate a professional composure. This composure was also demonstrated by Russell, our Project Manager, also by Stacie and Wendy at the home office. This well engineered team ensured that all communications were promptly returned by the necessary staff member. Thanks to this finely crafted team we were able to have repairs, upgrades, and an addition completed in an astonishing time frame. All work completed matches the existing structure and the quality has exceeded expectations. A number of neighbors were so impressed the work flow and finished project they have requested referrals for home improvement projects. I do not often review businesses, and when I do it’s because they either struck out or hit one out of the park. Opus One Design Build unarguably falls in the category of the latter. My family and I are back in our home, and it feels like home. I cannot recommend another contractor for any project, large or small. They have certainly earned a customer for life.

I had what I would consider a small job and Opus was the first to respond. I was more than pleased after reading their reviews, however felt my project wasn't big enough. I received a phone call from Opus following up. I quickly explained what I thought was too small of a job and that same day he was out at my apartment to give me his input/consult. Let's just say the next day his team was out and ready to get me where I needed to be and set me up for any future additions/changes. I am so impressed that Opus took on my project as if it was their very own. In a day where customer service falls extremely short, Opus sets the bar where customer service needs to be.. Thank you for setting my home up as if it were your very own..

Opus One was fantastic. I had my master bedroom floors, entire master bath and kitchen remodeled. The communication from RJ and the team is what sets this company apart. You are not hiring a few random people with a truck, you're hiring a structured company that has specialists for several types of work. I had wood work done in my kitchen, including crafting new cabinet faces. Also, I had large porcelain tiles (18x36) installed flawlessly for my bathroom. The team helped me with the process of selecting a nice marble counter for the bathroom and installed it perfectly. Don't think twice, hire Opus One. First class company and team.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our pricing is simple. We calculate how much labor is required, the cost of our materials and then we total those two numbers - add our profit to that number (usually 18-20%) and off we go. There is no science to construction or interior or landscape design pricing. Its should never be more complicated than the formula I just described.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We will typically have do the following: 1) Phone assessment 2) Follow up in person 3) Proposal and agreement 4) Schedule a start date 5) Weekly site updates 6) Completion 7) Return the property to the client
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Continuing education every 2 years. Every member of our team.
