- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I got started as a handyman by initially tackling small DIY projects around my own home. This hands-on experience helped me develop basic skills in carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work. I supplemented this with vocational courses to gain more formal knowledge. As my confidence grew, I began offering my services to friends and family, who referred me to others. Over time, I built up my tool collection and established a steady client base through word-of-mouth and networking with local businesses and real estate agents.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
A recent project I’m fond of involved renovating a small home office. The project took 7 days and included clearing the space, updating electrical wiring, painting, installing new lighting, assembling and installing furniture, and adding decorative touches. The client was delighted with the functional and modern transformation, which made the effort truly rewarding.
