Introduction

I've been working with dogs for the past 8 years. I started at doggie daycares where I learned first hand about dog behavior and that grew into wanting to learn how to train dogs. I am constantly attending dog training seminars and trying to improve my craft. I like to take everything into account when I work with owners and their dogs. We will look at your dogs diet, physiology and temperament to tailor a training program that works for everyone.

I had a male pug who experienced regression. Alexis was extremely knowledgeable and much more than a dog trainer. She understood the issue from a behavioral challenge and explained the best way to reduce the behavior and why. She had me use a gentle correction technique that is working wonderfully. I highly recommend her for any issue you may have with your dog. She is an expert and has passion for what she does. I feel fortunate that I met her and definitely would call her again for any dog related issues.

Alexis has been phenomenal with my pup, Busch! Busch is an 11 month old rescue that I rescued in late August. I was having really bad obedience issues, leash walking issues, nipping issues, and barking (dog and people reactive). Within just a few sessions, Busch listens, he walks well on his leash, he knows when he can and when he cannot bark, and I can take him out in public with CROWDS and not have an issue. Alexis is big into training the owner and has given me a great deal of confidence in continuing to train Busch effectively.

Just started working with Alexis and Marley and it’s been great so far! Alexis is wonderful with animal behavior and understanding how to teach me to train my pup. I have a service dog so she’s helping me teach her task oriented tricks, tactile therapy, retrieval, and more. I plan on working with Alexis and Marley as long as I need!

At the beginning of training, my dog was reactive, pulling on the leash, and only knew the basic commands (sit, leave it, shake, etc..). After our last session today, Odin is a completely different dog. He does not react to other dogs at all anymore, walks perfectly on a leash, and preforms other commands such as down stay, sit stay, sit pretty (his favorite), and so many others!! Having Marley there at the training sessions is the best possibly reinforcement for training, and I am beyond thankful for what Alexis and Marley have done for Me and Odin!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing can be flexible if need be but I also want people that want to commit to their dog, so it's not priced inexpensively.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My typical process is I speak with you over the phone about what issues you are dealing with. Tell you about how I train and what to expect. I ask what questions you have for me and we go from there. The programs have their basic structure but are tailored to the individual and their dog or dogs.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am not certified. I have put in time learning under a mentor and educating myself by attending seminars twice year to keep improving my craft!
