FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My current fee is $50/hr. plus materials and supplies as necessary. I offer a 10% discount for active and retired military.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First contact is usually initiated by a text or vmail from a prospective client. I respond by text, email, or phone call to gain as much information about the project as possible. I always insist on personally meeting with the customer and seeing the scope of the project before any discussion regarding cost. Together with the customer's input, I formulate the best and most cost-effective project plan, and once approved we decide on a start date.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
In college, I studied Architectural Technology. I was also an assistant Superintendent of Construction for a large residential developer. Later, when I purchased investment properties, I performed most of the rehab fix-up work myself. Knowledge of architecture, engineering, and the building processes and experience with customer relations gave me the necessary tools of the trade to be a successful owner of The Home Technician.
