FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Each 'signature' or 'stamp' is $10. There is a $0.70 per mile travel fee if I travel to you. Wedding ceremonies are $30 plus travel fees.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
As a notary public, my typical process for working with a new customer includes the following steps: Initial Contact & Appointment Scheduling – The customer reaches out to me to request notary services. I confirm the type of document(s) needing notarization, discuss any requirements, and schedule an appointment at a convenient location. Document Preparation – I advise the customer to bring a valid, government-issued photo ID and ensure that the document is complete but unsigned before our meeting (since most documents must be signed in the presence of a notary). Identity Verification & Screening – At the appointment, I review the customer’s ID to confirm their identity and check for willingness and awareness to sign the document (ensuring there is no coercion). Notarization Process – Depending on the document, I administer an oath or acknowledgment, witness the signing, and complete the notarial certificate with my official seal and signature. Recordkeeping & Payment – I record the transaction details in my notary journal (if required by law), obtain the customer’s signature in my log, and collect the agreed-upon fee. Completion & Follow-Up – I return the notarized document to the customer, answer any remaining questions, and, if needed, guide the next steps for document submission.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am certified through the Secretary of State (FL) to perform notarizations anywhere in the state of Florida. I received my training from the National Notary Association.
