Introduction

Eugene is a woodwind artist and educator. He received his Bachelor’s of Music in Music Education with concentration in Saxophone from the University of Delaware in 2015. He immediately took a position as Instrumental Music Director at Hampstead Hill Academy in Baltimore City which he held for five years prior to moving to Orlando. He has also taught privately to students of all ages since 2012. Eugene has performed in many ensembles including University of Delaware’s Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Jazz I, Jazz II, University of Maryland Jazz Ensemble, various jazz combos, pit orchestras, as well as many local bands in the Delaware area. Eugene’s past mentors include Todd Groves, Chris Vadala, Christopher Nichols and Mike Cemprola. Eugene’s teaching style is goal oriented with a focus on excellent fundamentals. He can teach any style, and prioritizes great sound, rhythm and technical mastery of the instrument.

Eugene has been a phenomenal saxophone teacher. He is reliable, well organized, and a great communicator. His high-energy lessons have kept my son engaged and motivated to keep growing as a musician. An absolute pleasure to learn from, his expertise meant he was ready for anything we wanted to learn. He’s helped my middle schooler from beginner hobby playing…to complicated large band pieces… and on to jazz solos.

Eugene is an excellent saxophone instructor. My 12 year old son has been taking lessons for about 4 months now. Eugene is always on time and is flexible with our schedule. His calm demeanor help make my son relaxed and comfortable with him. I would highly recommend Eugene for new and advanced players alike.

Eugene is a great instructor. He is patient and communicates effectively. He meets you where you are at in terms of skill and makes you feel comfortable. I would definitely recommend him for someone who is new and wants to learn the saxophone.

Eugene is an accomplished woodwind instructor and an amazing jazz saxophonist. I am a high school band director and he worked with my school’s marching band.
