I called Kevin after having old ceramic tile removed from our balcony at our new condo, since it was water damaged underneath. In its place, Kevin recommended doing a textured spray deck with line patterns to simulate the look of tiles. Kevin explained that to do the job right, all the thin set that was under the tile that remained adhered to the balcony surface had to be removed, otherwise the basecoat would not adhere properly to the surface. He continually emphasized the need to do the job right so that we would not have problems in the future and so he “could sleep at night”. We were very impressed with his attention to detail. Kevin worked up a reasonable price and provided a detailed estimate, which included all the steps he would take. As he was progressing with the work, we were very impressed with his passion for perfectionism. He applied three coats of stain after doing the new concrete surface. Upon completion of the work, we couldn’t be more pleased and feel very fortunate to have found him using the Thumbtack service.
