Introduction
Military discount, LE and EMS. - Handyman and Handyman - Note: my listed availability only reflects my most common availability (I can make time depending on my fatherly duties and fulltime work schedule) Math Tutoring (Skip to next paragraph for my handyman services): My name is Ricky and I tutor math all the way to Calculus. I love trigonometry most. I am not a fan of common core but I don't tell my student that if that is what they need to learn for their current curriculum. I teach the principal of learning how to think and not what to think. I assume that I may be teaching the next Einstein or next genius so I try my best to remove limiting types of answers to questions. I tend to answer inquisitive questions with a question so that the student can teach themselves (learn how to think and problem solve). "Why does anything to the power of Zero always equal one?" Was a question that I didn't have way of answering. I told my student that their question is a really good one and that I don't know but that I would find out and tell them next time. So I did. I learn by teaching and it is also instantly rewarding. The current education system is not designed for the individual and I would like to help our youth learn to love learning (specifically math). You will see an immediate change in the desire to learn math after our first session. It starts with the homework assignment or upcoming test, then I reverse plan how to get there given current knowledge and understanding. I focus on the weakest link and make it stronger. Handy Man: I'm handy. I can do all sorts of home related projects. I own two homes and am partial owner of three AirBnB properties including one long term rental as part of a family business. I do most of the repairs and did 90% of the labor to get them ready for renters. I love working with my hands and seeing a project through. I am a man of integrity and love helping people. That smile after helping someone is worth a thousand words. My full time job is with the military at Patrick AFB and I am on here to offer my other skills. I am also on here to build references for a future construction job when I retire from the service. I am polite, respectful, friendly, honest, among other positive traits. If you are looking for trustworthiness, fairness, reliability, and efficiency then I can provide that; you can hold me to it. I pride myself in attention to detail and I am a hard worker. Right now I am primarily available on weekends and some national holidays. I also have some evenings available when I get off work. I am married and we have a child so I am working to support them. My work is a representation of me so I do my absolute destiny and don't cut corners. Please reach out with your project and if I can't do it, I will let you know and still help to refer contractors or other Thumbtack people that I know and trust. Either way, good luck and God bless.

If I could select all 5 of the items, I would! Ricky responded to my request within minutes of my reaching out, and was on my doorstep in 2 days. He arrived right on time, and brought his assistant, his wife, to keep what he needed within reach! He very efficiently removed the old ceiling fan and replaced it with the new one I had purchased. The job was completed within the timeframe he gave me, and his rates are very affordable. He’s a terrific professional and I will be calling him again for other jobs I need done now and in the future! Thanks Ricky!

Richard did such an amazing job. I had dirt, cobwebs, irrigation rust stains, and just years of grime that he carefully and meticulously removed. He also provided a very fair price for the level of detail he executed. While he was performing the job, he also provided recommendations for other services that I will definitely be needing in the future. I highly recommend him and he is also just an overall nice person. It was a pleasure!

Ricky installed 5 ceiling fans throughout my new build in Adamson Creek. He went out of his way to have supplies on hand and was meticulous in caring for the area he was working in and cleaning up after wards. Ricky was polite and kept to his estimated price, also offered to return to correct/ fix anything that may occur after the install. All fans/lights have been running smoothly throughout the week and I could not be more pleased with his work.

I needed to transport 300+ plants, many of which are very fragile. He took the time to make sure they were properly accommodated in his trailer, as well as properly secured. He was careful and thoughtful in handling them and went above and beyond. For the larger plants he was able to navigate their transport with competence; I trusted that all would arrive at their destination without issue. It is obvious that he takes pride in his work, whatever the task may be.
