I have been installing laminate, vynil plank and vynil tile for the past few years. I recently decided to go into business for myself. I put a very high value on quality and personal relationships. He was very responsive from our initial inquiry and was able to come and view the repair area, provide us with a quick and easy quote and complete the project that day! What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
all of my pricing is based on square footage. the only variance is when working in small spaces like bathrooms or mudrooms.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
typical process for a new customer is meeting and writing up an estimate. Then deciding on a product. Most flooring requires that it acclimates to the installation area a day or two prior to the actual install, so we make sure this process happens. Then the old flooring comes out, the subfloor is prepared, and your new floor gets installed!
How did you get started doing this type of work?
A friend of mine ran a flooring company in Colorado, and when i lived there i would help him on various projects. I enjoy the work, and love seeing the final product
