Even over the phone, Chris understood the job of repairing my two stubborn doors. He responded very quickly to my request and was at my house ready to work within the hour. He quickly assessed and repaired the front door. Unfortunately, the back door was too far gone and could not be saved. However, he followed up by sending links to a replacement door which I really appreciate. He is experienced and thorough in his work. I would definitely use his services again and recommend his company to others needing this type of work.

Don't believe the Hype, I hired Chris based on info in profile {reviews/Photos). I expected his work level to be much more seasoned, since he claims to have more than ten years' experience with windows and doors installation. I needed two entry doors, and a window replaced on my condo. Chris quoted me $300 per door (not including materials) initially, but he needed to find out cost for window before he could give me a quote. I agreed to the initial quote for the doors and requested an invoice. The following day Chris instilled the doors, I came to the property to inspect the progress of the job, at which time Chris informed me that all framing and molding was badly damaged form termites, which I already discussed with him when we initially talked about the job. I noticed that a lot of the stucco surrounding the door opening was ripped out, questioned Chris about this he stated he could add new stucco but he would not fix the cracks or missing cracks surrounding the door opening which result when door frames were ripped out. I questioned Chris about the open spaces along the top and sides of door frame and wall Chris stated most that would be covered with casing and molding which would cost me an additional $100 per door. I told Chris I thought that would be included in the cost with the door installation. The doors would not be complete without casing and exterior molding. Chris then stated I charge more for the casing. I ended up spending $900 for both doors which I would be so annoyed buy, if the final work wasn't so sloppy. The framework was obviously uneven, with gabs and spaces along the top and sides of the door frame and wall. Chris told me I needed another product called Primer to fill the remaining gabs, but it would cost me more money. At this point I was so dissatisfied with the work and my experience; I decided to end the job. Chris tried to fill the spaces and gaps with caulking to make the spaces and gaps look less obvious, but the work was still unsightly. Needless to say, I didn't hire Chris to install the window. And I never got an invoice for the work.

Details: Exterior door (e.g. front door, patio door) • Basic door (swings open and shut) • Mixed material (e.g. wood with windows) • Door is drafty or leaking • Weatherization (e.g. block drafts)

Chris Repairs's reply
Hello, Let me clarify some of the misinformation you’re providing here. For starters I charged you 250 not 300. Casing and moldings are not part of a Door install that’s a separate job. And I did add them for you. And you said it wrong it has nothing to do with the framing. What you’re talking about is the molding and I already said that this was installed all it needs is paint as this does not come primed or paint when you pick it up from Home Depot. Now for the the Stocco damage, you forgot to mention that you had a security gate installed that I had to remove, and by the way did not charge you for the removal that was on the concrete itself so yes, when this was removed, a ripped part of the concrete but again that’s a stucco job not a Door installation. You said the frame was uneven. That’s a lie as everything was leveled. Why don’t you take a picture of the level and post it so you can see. The door closes and opens perfectly with no light so I don’t understand how you’re saying it’s uneven. And to give you a little bit of insight, your door is a 36 inch door with the frame it’s 37 1/4. Your opening is 37 3/4 no door and opening will be the same size as you need space to put the door in That’s why I put shims and wood and then covered it with caulking so you have no air coming in between. Also you saying you ended the job but the job was already done. You didn’t end nothing. I was the one that ended extra part with the window as I saw the issues already happening with the Stocco. I went there for a door install. I even added stucco as a filler from the door frame to the wall and thank you for posting those pictures of it because that’s what the gray thing is. After I put the molding on but to go back to the stucco that was damaged from removing the iron security gate that again free of charge. That’s what caused the damage as it was installed then they filled it with stucco by the installed doors will not do stock repair for free and that’s what I told you. I had no problem doing it, but I cannot do it for free so the pricing you posted here was all wrong as it was 250 your door And 100 to add inside and outside molding and casing on the door. But again, I don’t like to see a customer upset so I am sorry that you’re unhappy, but my work speaks for itself even in the pictures you posted you could see no light on the doors anyways bye now.
