Sean at Good Wood Carpentry was very professional, cleaned up after finishing the project. His price was very reasonable compared to other projects completed by other contractors before. Will use him in the future for sure.

Sean goes above and beyond expectations! The only reason I would not recommend him is so that I have him available for future work for me.🙂

Details: A full day (Complex or long-term projects) • Installation • Deck or porch • Walls (outside) • Home

Sean was awesome to work with. I had a design for our laundry room and he made it happen. Base cabinets, upper cabinets with corbels, refrigerator looks built-in, crown molding, window trim, beadboard, wainscoting with shaker pegs, new sink and faucet. He tore out a closet with bifold doors and installed a tall pantry cabinet. He worked with me as I stained the wood countertops. It turned out better than I imagined! He is a great listener and tries to accommodate what you want, for example I had a base cabinet I wanted to remain moveable for access to the dryer vent. He also had to retrofit the cabinet to fit around the vent. He troubleshoots the inevitable unforeseen like a pro-- like our old plumbing needed some updates to accommodate new sink. I would definitely have Sean do other projects around our house! I still need to paint the corbels, peg rails, and window trim, and change out the light fixture... Will post new pictures soon.

Good Wood carpentry was knowledgeable, accommodating, very professional, knew their limits, and did not attempt anything that they had not done before. They were responsive and provided excellent value for the work that was done. I would hire them again, and highly recommend them for excellent work, and leaving the workspace better than they found it.

Details: 2 - 5 hours (A few different projects) • Installation • Living room • Bedroom • Wall hangings • Home

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I don’t work by the hour or by the day. It can create an awkward relationship with my customers and my it takes away my motivation to work fast. I estimate a completion price based on $65-$90/hour + materials. I work very hard to stick to my estimate price and I rarely go over it. Every job has unforeseen challenges and if they affect the final price I inform my customers asap.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

When do you want it completed? What is your budget for this project? What does the end product look like in your mind?
