FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For example If a customer has damage to a carpet by their dog or cat, if she has extra carpet for the repair, that will be great, if not, I then suggest to cut a piece out of closet and we can replace the closet with something that's similar.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After talking to customer over phone, and the problem with carpet needs restretching, I usually suggest an inspection, which is free, and then give her a price, usually around $100 per room, which of course is power stretched.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Several years ago when I lived in N.J., I received a call from the Eastern Regional Manager of Brunswick Corp Neil Tanis to bid on replacing carpet and V.A. tile in all the bowling Alleys they owned in all the 5 N,E states. It was their custom to change all flooring every 5 years. After we did 2 bowling alleys, he was completely thrilled. If my memory serves me right, we did all Bowling alleys 3 times each which took 13 Years, before moving to Florida. Neil Tanis the regional manager, wasn't too happy with my move by the way to Florida.
