FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Together we typically do a thorough office/zoom/phone consultation, answering all questions and assess the scope of the work. Almost invariably I recommend that at a minimum, clients have a quality will, a living will/designation of health care surrogate and a durable power of attorney. The charge for all of the above is typically around $700 for one set of documents. If a second set of documents (spouse or partner) is required, then I discount the second set as long as the documents are substantially similar. The preparation of deeds and complex planning can cost extra, all work is priced based on the scope of the job to be performed. Trusts are priced on a case-by-case basis as the amount of work involved can vary significantly. Trusts are a useful planning tool and can save a small fortune in the right case and simplify your estate planning greatly so even though they can be expensive, my clients often find that the benefits outweigh the cost.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
See above.

I have an undergraduate finance degree, a law degree and a Master of Laws degree from one of the top Graduate Tax programs in the nation. Have been preparing similar documents for over 26 years now and have helped hundreds and hundreds of clients achieve their goal of carefully planning their estates.
