FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
At serenity we are dedicated to making sure that people get the services that are needed. Mental health services are typically very costly. Our fees are lower than most counseling offices because we want our clients to be able to afford our services and come as often as needed. We also offer a sliding fee scale based on income. Our Clinical Mental Health Counselor interns are able to see clients at a lower fee. The interns work closely with our licensed counselors to make sure that the services provided are always professional and beneficial.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first session is an assessment. In the assessment we discuss the presenting concerns, history and goals. This will give the counselor enough information to develop a treatment plan/strategy. The counselor will discuss the treatment plan with the client/clients and expected number of sessions to reach the desired goals. The counselor will always give the client an exercise, tool, skill or technique to work on at home which will assist the client in developing better coping skills in dealing with the presenting concerns.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our licensed counselors have a Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Certified instructor for our DCF approved Parenting Classes that I teach at our facility. Certified Prepare-Enrich Couples Therapist.
