Jose did an architectural design of our new kitchen. He helped us with choosing the wood, finish and style of our new cabinets, and also helped us choose the hardware. We put in Decora cabinets, which were all plywood constructed. All the cabinet doors had the soft close system. He selected all the contractors and interacted with them. At Jose's suggestion we went with a quartz stone counter-top in the kitchen and we couldn't be happier. In the future if we decide to do other work, we would definitely choose Jara & Weidner Design Studio again. We were pleased with everything and the work was exceptional!

We were impressed with the quality of our Omega cabinets and the collaborative design process. Penny was able take our ideas and give them life. She and the owner, Jose, responded immediately to any concern and when a cabinet arrived slightly damaged because of shipping a new one was ordered and arrived quickly keeping us to our timeline. Also, there installers are excellent.

We offer the highest possible quality with the lowest possible price.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We offer a first complementary visit to the home to learn about the project and to measure the space, or the rooms. The next step, the client receives a free estimate after they've chosen the cabinet style. The free estimate includes a presentation of the cabinetry layout to assure understanding and eliminate the guessing between the price and design.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am an architect who has specialized in designing kitchens and bathrooms for the last 20 years, with experience in architectural design and industrial design. Penny Johnson is a specialized kitchens and bathrooms designer with 24 years of experience. Her work has been recognized and publicized in magazines.
