Introduction

My goal is to always put my students on the road to success. Ie strive to help every student reach his or her full academic potential by mastering the skills that have been difficult for them while developing skills that encourage self-esteem, sound study habits, and motivation. I am entirely committed to the academic success of all of my students. I have great patience with my students. I have an innate ability to explain a math concept in 1 or 2 different ways and have the student use whichever approach works best for him/her. I find that having a warm, positive attitude in every tutoring session helps. I believe in constant encouragement to help reinforce tough concepts in simple-to-understand terms. One of my favorite experiences is when a light goes on in the student's mind and that student finally understands the math concept, even if the classroom teacher has not explained the given concept adequately.

Rate details: $60.00/hour (7 days a week) OR pay six (6) hours in advance $55.00/hour
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When working with a student, it is important to initially identify what materials need to be covered including prep for an upcoming test, homework that is due in the next day or two, or recent materials covered in class. After that, we can go back & see what fundamentals the student is weak in.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a state-certified math teacher with 15+ years of experience in teaching and tutoring math. This includes Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Geometry, Standardized test prep for math (SAT, ACT, GRE, GED, and all other math sections on tests).
