Katy Peterson is the best music teacher that I have ever had. She expanded my repetoire and taught me how to use my voice. She also helped my skills on the piano as well as the guitar. She is a bright minded spirit always encouraging you to do your best.

Katy is an amazing instructor. Aside from her enthusiasm andenergy, get knowledge speaks mounds about her love for music. She is also very talented and great work children and possesses a patience and understanding difficult to find in a instructor these days. I highly recommend her.

Katy taught both of my girls. My oldest daughter took piano lessons, and my youngest took sining lessons. They both learned a great deal in a short period of time. She is patient and kind. She finds the positive in everyone.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
As a committed lifelong learner, I am currently I am working on my Doctorate. I attend national conferences regularly for instrumental and voice teachers as well as choral conducting conferences. In addition, wonderful mentors in my life continue to challenge and guide me in person, on the phone, and via Skype.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Most clients simply want to sing or play because they love the freedom musical expression gives them. Primarily, lessons for all skill levels touch on the same fundamental: How do you set your spirit free through the music you play and sing? We will play together using techniques and concepts from the fields of music, education, science, and beyond to open up the most effective and joyous path for you to travel with your music.
