FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My base rate is $150 per hour, all inclusive, though I can be somewhat flexible depending on when the event is scheduled to take place, the kind of event and the location.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
It's a very simple process. For our DJ service, either by email or phone we discuss the date, time, dress code and musical genres you would like to have for your event or party. If it is your wish, I will come out prior to the event to do a site survey to look at the venue and determine optimal set up parameters. A basic DJDean music service agreement is drawn up, signed and a $100 non-refundable deposit is made to hold the date. Then, we party! For video production, we start with a phone call so we can learn a little about your product or service. We ask a lot of questions and seek to determine what it is you want to accomplish. We want to know who your audience is because that will determine how best to reach them. Once we get all the information we need, we present a concept and a proposal to execute that proposal.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated from the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale (1991) then worked my way to become general manager of a corporate audio/video/media development company. I left there to serve on the production team at BECON-TV (channel 19 on Comcast, 63 UHF) and have been involved in thousands of audio/video productions over the years. Musically, I sang, ran audio and then managed a band for 7 years. I have taken that experience and have applied it to my DJDean music entertainment service. I know how to work a crowd with music.
