FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We want to price with a complete project at a competitive price for quality work. I like to know exactly what the specifications are and get one total price. No surprises. An existing home being redesigned can impact pricing from issues impossible to see from the onset. Keep a 5 to 10 percent contingency fund for these items. Try not to make many changes. Change Orders add time and cost to a project.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Meet with the client and discuss design, desired features, and budget. We can let a customer know general pricing on a build before we go too far. It is important the client and builder are on the same page with quality and price. Then it is design and specs desired by the customer to determine pricing. One of our competitive advantages is to design and provide realistic CAD renderings for a client. It is much more cost effective to change a design or feature at this point than during construction. Next, once designs are approved, it's build time.
