FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My prices are: $30 for my 30 minute trial class on Zoom or FaceTime. $65 per hour on ZOOM or FaceTime, $35 for 1/2 hour on ZOOM or FaceTime.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My classes are a mix of theory and practice with a lot of attention on pronunciation. To be able to replicate the French sounds is crucial. It doesn’t need to be perfect but good enough to be understood by French people. The goal is communication! If the student has studied some French already, I check their real level by asking them simple questions so I can see what they understand, how they pronounce the French sounds, and how their grammar is. It allows me to pinpoint their weak points and to address them right away. If the student is a beginner, I train them with the unique French sounds and show them in what words they can find these sounds. I go from the sounds to the words. I choose words that are common and that they will use and I give multiple examples. And I introduce grammar very progressively with a lot of practice.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a solid education in French grammar and literature. I got 17/20 on my French bac (end of French high school exam). I constantly look for ways to improve my teaching approach and help my students speed up their fluency. I attend language conferences, follow language specialists, etc. to stay current on the latest proven methods to learn a language.
