Circle D K9 Advantage insures enthusiastic learning, building an unbreakable bond between you and your four legged best friend. We specialize in basic and precision sport obedience. As well as article indication tracking and protection fundamentals for sport. Our training Director and founder Mike is also the President of South Florida Schutzhund Club with over 30 members and dogs of all breeds with varying experience. He has also served his community for over 20 years as a Fire Officer/Paramedic for Miami Dade County Fire Rescue, as well as providing Emergency and ICU care as a Registered Nurse.

I called Mike for help with my 7 month old bulldog Didi - who to me was just crazy haha but soon came to learn that she just needed a better way to channel all her energy. We signed up for his 30-day program. He helped achieve way more than I imagined, He definitely did more than he needed to & went above and beyond for Didi. To ensure she was getting the most out of the work without making it feel like work which made her look forward to do more and actually listen and behave without making her but because she wanted to. Not only did he help her be a more confident and obedient pup but he also took the time to teach me how to keep up with the work and how to use all the props/accessories in order to help her understand what she is doing wrong without making it feel like punishment. I am glad to have chosen Mike - he is a great dog trainer & person who does care about your dog and helping you with him/her. Thank you Mike!!

Mike has done a great job learning and implementing his young dog, Hammer, in Bart Bellon’s NePoPo system. He has made an effort to travel to and learn from many of the top trainers in the dog sport world. By adding these tools to his training toolbox, coupled with his experience titling a strong dog (Kane) in schutzhund, Mike is equipped to assist you with any pet obedience training needs you may have and/or help you get a successful start in the dog sport world.

Circle D K9 IS Mike O'Donnell! With complete passion, knowledge, and caring, Mike's training, using NePoPo as well as his vast arsenal of training techniques creates an individualized program that is as far from a one size fits all approach as possible. Never would we believe that we would have left our dog with anyone for a board & train. Yet, there was never the slightest doubt and trust exuded at our first meeting. While Maximillian and I came to Mike later in life where many would believe that, "You can't teach an old dog new tricks", Mike proved that wrong. I learned a lot and Max shined! Mike not only understands canine and human psyche, he knows how teach to build confidence to succeed. My husband, a retired K9 LEO, couldn't believe how much Mike was able to teach inexperienced me in a very short period of time. I am grateful that God put Mike in our journey. We learned our advantage and never looked back!!!

Choosing the right dog trainer should be a simple task. Look no further than the trainer’s own dog. Ask for a live demonstration. If you like what you see then consider hiring the trainer, if not then move on. I’m pretty sure you’ll like what you see at Circle D K9. I recommend Mike’s training method, it teaches dogs to think for themselves. He has done a phenomenal job putting a strong foundation on his current dog and feel confident he can help you achieve your goals. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We offer board and train programs. Our 30 day basic obedience and a discounted six week advanced “off leash” training program are guaranteed for life. Please give us a call for the details.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Meet and great first and foremost! Important to have one on one dialog to establish training needs. Clear communication between owner and trainer is paramount to our training foundation.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
The Bart Bellon NePoPo®️ Silver and Gold School which includes an E-Collar training certification. I am currently the President and Training Director of the South Florida Schutzhund Club. We have over 30 members that participate in the Protection Sport formally known as Schutzhund, now called IGP. I was introduced to the sport and my first Master Coach Phil Hoelcher in1984. Additionally, the struggle to always improve sometimes leads to unintentional mistakes, but inevitably leaves us better prepared for next time.
