Home Pros of Tampa Bay is owned and operated by myself (Todd Hovey). I am new to the Tampa Bay Region however I have a lifetime of industry experience. At just 14 years old, I began assisting my family with floor installation, and have worked in the industry in various fields since 1991. I have worked in landscape, home framing, property management and maintenance, residential construction, real estate, and home inspection. My knowledge of the industry from all angles makes me a great resource for all of your inspection needs. I have held my Residential Builders License in Michigan since 2014 and started doing Inspections the same year. I am currently working on obtaining my General Contractors License here in Florida. I understand how homes are built, how to repair them, and where to look for potential problems. I am a United States Army Veteran and take pride in providing honest, thorough and fair priced repairs. I believe that your reputation is the most important thing to safeguard and will do my very best to ensure my clients are satisfied.

Todds knowledge with Home inspections and Real estate gives him a leg up on How things need to be accomplished and to get it right the first time. He has been in the business a long time, I can tell you He provides reasonable quotes for high quality work! I would recommend using Todd because he is honest! Hard to find that in this kind of work.

He did a great job at resealing my patio roof! Would definitely reach out again if I need help with any other things around the house whether is be interior or exterior work. He is also very knowledgable in the work that he is doing and makes sure I understood everything before starting the work!

I try to keep my pricing fair and in keeping with the average pay rate for Home Inspection Contractors. I also provide a discount to Military and First Responders
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to speak directly with the customer and truly listen to their needs before committing to a project. Answer any questions they may have about my experience or the process and let them know what I expect from them.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have attended Lansing Community College Construction Trades Program of Study, although I did not complete the entire program. I have also taken courses with Michigan Builders License and Continuing Competency and numerous years of on the job training.
