- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
It generally takes 8 2-hour sessions to prepare, Our one-on-one tutoring IS expensive; $150 per session [although one competitor charges $240 per session and all national companies charge $65 per HALF hour. Students actually do better [and pay less] with group sessions. The more students in a group, the less each student pays. If there are 9 or more students, the original student whose home we use gets his/her tutoring for FREE!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Even though I have been preparing students for the SAT for 30 years, I read all the new research & material every year. Just a month ago, Time Magazine labeled the SAT as a "Fraud & a Hoax." Strong words, but true. The test does not give students a fair chance to do well without knowing the Strategy.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I always knew I was "test-smart;" I just didn't know why. It was during my graduate studies that I discovered the elements that allow some people to test well, and others to test poorly.
